Stressful events are part of life. Resilience helps clients persevere and adapt in the face of adversity. Those who feel their life is more meaningful will be better able to make sense of adversity, overcome it, and learn from it. Additionally, those who are more mindful will be better able to regulate their emotions and make more productive choices in the face of adversity. Ultimately, we can help clients become more resilient by helping them find meaning in life and become more mindful.
