FSAT Model as an approach for understanding and
Assisting Familial Identity Theft Victims

This session will describe the Family Systems Adaptation to Trauma (FSAT) Model and explain its applicability to understanding and assisting familial identity theft victims. The FSAT Model integrates individual, interpersonal, familial, and social-contextual systems, similar to Bronfenbrenner’s (1979) Ecological Model, while applying the clinical treatment aspects of safety, traumatic process, and reconnection (Goff, et al., 2020).
