FTA is very excited to announce the call for presentations for our 2023 conference! This year’s conference will be held on October 5-7, 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Westin Hotel. Our conference theme is “Self-of-the Financial Therapist: Exploring the Importance of Inner Work and Self-Reflection of practitioners.”
The financial industry can be complex and emotionally charged, and we believe that this year’s conference theme is particularly timely and relevant. Our goal is to explore the ways in which therapists, coaches, and financial professionals can cultivate a deeper understanding of their own inner worlds to better support their clients and colleagues. We are proud to present an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, workshops, and panels that will delve into topics such as mindfulness practices, self-care strategies, and the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships.
This year’s conference is an opportunity for members of academia, mental health, and financial professions to come together to share, listen, learn, and cultivate meaningful and robust discussions in our shared passion for financial therapy. This conference provides a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals from around the world and to learn from experts in the field.

If companies want to innovate and get fresh ideas, they need to hear from the rebels who challenge conventional wisdom. But TODD KASHDAN says that not any rebellion will do—what really makes a difference is principled dissent, when a rebel speaks up with courage for a greater good. Todd is an award-winning psychology expert, and he shares practical scientific recipes from his book The Art of Insubordination so that you can make principled dissent a vital part of your culture: you’ll learn how to express unpopular—but important—ideas, how to help principled rebels express their contrary opinions, and how to ensure the best ideas win, even if they are unexpected. Todd’s warmth, wit, and proven wisdom—with research seen in the New York Times, Fast Company, and The Atlantic—will make us rebels with a cause. We’ve all got a cause. Let’s rebel.
