Daniel Kopp, MA, MS, CFP ®, is a fee-only, fiduciary financial planner, financial therapist, and founder of Wise Stewardship Financial Planning where he helps young widows and widowers as well as military members organize their financial lives by aligning their money with their deeply-held values. He leverages his personal experiences as a widower to Sarah and an Air Force veteran of nine years to offer a deeper level of engagement and connection with his clients. In addition to offering comprehensive, holistic financial planning services, he specializes in working with younger widows dealing with financial anxiety through the lens of financial therapy. This combined approach blends therapeutic and financial competencies d to help people reach their financial goals by thoughtfully addressing financial challenges, while at the same time, attending to the emotional, psychological, behavioral, and relational hurdles that are intertwined.
Daniel’s education includes his undergraduate as a BS in Economics from Purdue University with highest distinction, an MA in Strategic Leadership from American Military University, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Therapy and a MS in Advanced Financial Planning From Kansas State University (KSU). He has been published in the Journal of Financial Therapy for his research on working with widows dealing with money avoidance.
Daniel lives with his wife Anna and son in Sarasota, Florida where they love to explore new places, try interesting cuisines, play board games, and serve in their local church.
